The Twenty-Five Histories is a treasure trove containing the cultural spirit of China. It gathers abundant wisdom and valuable lessons. However, the Twenty-Five Histories consists of over 4,000 volumes, which most people cannot read due to their vastness. Therefore, it is necessary to compile a comprehensive and organized edition for the general public to read. Now, the edited volume Comprehensive Mirror to the Twenty-Five Histories by Comrade Cao Haidong has done this work, which is both timely and meaningful. The book selects the essence of the Twenty-Five Histories and organizes it in a classified format, making it enjoyable for both the learned and the general reader, and is worth reading.
