Features: Jack, the son of Tarzan and Jane, is born, but their enemies, Kala and Clayton, plot to capture Tarzan and Jane and kidnap Jack. Seeing her beloved son taken away, Jane witnesses Tarzan being exiled to a remote island and is heartbroken. Tarzan returns to his primitive, perilous life in the jungle. After fierce battles, he forms deep friendships with the gorilla Akala, the leopard Sheeta, and the black man M'Gane. Together, they rule their part of the jungle with unmatched prowess and engage in a deadly struggle against Kala and the others. Due to the betrayal of the cannibal tribe leader, Tarzan becomes a captive again, tied to a stone pillar surrounded by blazing flames. At the critical moment, his gorilla and leopard friends come to his rescue, and Jane and Tarzan escape once more, returning to London to learn that their son had been saved thanks to a clever switch orchestrated by someone else. The family is reunited and lives a peaceful, happy life.
The reason Tarzan of the Apes so strongly captivates young readers is that it touches their hearts in several ways: the pursuit of pure human relationships, the longing for nature, and the desire for adventure. It is no longer just an ordinary adventure story but carries a certain philosophical depth. Of course, due to the limitations of the author's worldview, this depth remains quite superficial. However, it is precisely because of its "simplicity" that it is easily accepted by young readers.
