If readers are willing, they can skip this section, but if readers are not like me, a robot, please read it carefully. Even if a historical account is written as accurately as this book, I bet human readers will still have various misunderstandings. Because few of them have the remarkable memory function of a computer, of course, I admit that human readers have some advantages that computers do not possess. To avoid confusion caused by the author's omissions and the readers' misunderstandings, I will provide various materials that help readers understand. For example, I will try to tell readers the age of the people I mention, but remember that a 50-year-old woman in 2010 is very different from a 50-year-old woman today (2050); or when I describe a 1.80-meter-tall man in January 2015, you might think he is a bit short, but in fact, that was the average height of adult males 35 years ago. Additionally, due to inflation weakening the purchasing power of the dollar, $1,000 in 2000 is equivalent to $41,500 today. For these reasons, I have provided three tables in Appendix 1 at the back of this book about age, height, and inflation, hoping they will be helpful to readers. This book spans 60 years of history and involves many characters, so the "Table of Contents" and hints in this book may have some reference value. Each chapter begins with a date, which is the day of the important event described later. The chapters are arranged in chronological order because I believe there is no need to disrupt the timeline for dramatic effect. Drama is indeed wonderful, but clarity and simplicity are more attractive to me. Finally, after the date at the beginning of each chapter, I will list several important news events reported in the media that day to help readers better understand this extremely special story.
