To quickly immerse yourself in the text, it’s essential to understand its content and background. Therefore, we have prepared an "One-Sentence Summary" and "Text Background," which together form this section.
2. Vocabulary and Phrases
Before studying the text, you must master the new words and phrases it contains. We have provided methods to help you learn them quickly, including listing synonyms or related words, highlighting key points, and clarifying easily confused words. You can refer to our second section for this.
(Note: Words marked with "④" indicate those that have appeared in the CET-4 exam, while those marked with "⑥" have appeared in the CET-6 exam.)
3. Detailed Explanation of Key Points and Difficulties
After completing the preparation in the first two sections, you can begin studying the text. When you encounter important grammar points or difficulties, the third section will help you solve them.
4. Answers and Solutions to After-Class Exercises
After-class exercises are a comprehensive test of your understanding of the text, allowing you to further improve your grasp of vocabulary, sentences, grammar, and the text itself. Therefore, take these exercises seriously. The fourth section is designed to help you complete them correctly.
5. Memorize These Sentences
A good habit in learning English is memorization. As the saying goes, "Read a thousand poems of Tang poetry, and you’ll be able to compose one without even trying." However, you don’t need to memorize the entire text—only the brilliant sentences. This way, you can accumulate knowledge gradually. Thus, we have selected beautiful sentences for this section.
6. Reference Translation
Throughout the learning process, you may encounter sentences that are difficult to understand. But don’t worry—you’re not alone. Refer to this section for help.
7. CET-4 and CET-6 Practice Questions
The CET-4 and CET-6 exams aren’t that difficult—several key points are covered in each lesson. We hope that after studying each lesson, you’ll feel one step closer to passing these exams. This section provides convenient practice questions for this purpose.
8. Achievement Test
Want to know how well you’ve mastered the vocabulary of this lesson? If everything is fine, you can move on to the next unit. If not, review it again! This section will assess your understanding.
