Features: The fourth-generation successor of "Wenlin Tang," a master of the I Ching (Book of Changes), and an expert in antiques, Lin Xingbang has dedicated his life to inheriting his family's legacy and promoting Chinese culture. In a narrow alley off Siwei Road, behind the Xiaoya Clothing Store on Ren'ai Road and Dunghua South Road, there is an artistic store that resonates with the cultural atmosphere of Dunghua South Road. Upon entering, you might discover renowned calligraphers such as Ding Jinquan, the president of the Calligraphy Association, and Siming Yong, a professor of calligraphy at Normal University, among others, enjoying tea and engaging in lively discussions or freely practicing their calligraphy.
It turns out that this bright and tidy, elegant store with an extensive collection of fine brushes and antiques, where literati and scholars linger in delight, is the pioneer of Taiwanese brush production, "Wenlin Tang." Wenlin Tang's brush-making is full of ingenuity and meticulous craftsmanship. As the pioneer of brush production in Taiwan, countless calligraphy masters have come to the Lin family seeking brushes and have formed lifelong friendships with them. Artists such as Zhang Daqian, Yu Youren, Fu Xinyu, Li Putong, Xie Zong'an, Zhu Jiuying, Li Kemei, and Gao Yihong were all regular visitors to Wenlin Tang at the time.
