Publish Date: 2001-08-01
Features: Since 1994 and 1995, People's Literature realized that new, young novelists were on the horizon, and we eagerly awaited them. To this end, we launched the column "New Fiction Writers of the Month." This column was renamed "New Novels" in 2001. A group of writers born in the 1960s thus entered the public eye, followed shortly after by a group of writers born in the 1970s. Many of them published their early, significant works through People's Literature, and their names are now widely recognized among literary readers. This collection includes the works of twenty-five young novelists, with most of the included pieces originating from these two columns.
