How to identify initial

Patient's question:

How to identify balanoposthitis?

Doctor's answer:

Balanoposthitis is the most common type of balanoposthitis. Nearly all patients have phimosis or excessive prepuce. Between the glans and the redundant prepuce, a warm and moist bacterial culture medium is formed by shed epithelial cells, glandular secretions, and smegma bacteria. Once bacteria enter, inflammation can occur. If the condition is detected early, the prepuce can be gently scrubbed with a 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution, followed by the application of an antibiotic ointment and appropriate use of antibiotics, which typically heals within a few days. For patients with balanoposthitis, timely treatment can reduce recurrence. If left untreated, it may affect fertility.
