Features: This book is a comprehensive course or a "four-in-one" textbook based on general psychology knowledge, with a focus on the main content of educational psychology, and appropriately including materials from social psychology and adolescent psychology. The entire book is divided into four parts:
Part II "General Theory" introduces the basic theories and viewpoints of several disciplines in two chapters, "Psychology and Education" and "Psychology, Its Development, and Learning." It also includes "Motivation and Its Activation" (with a focus on learning motivation), reflecting the social and subjective nature of human psychology, especially the learning psychology of students.
Part III "Cognitive Processes and Teaching" includes the first four chapters, "Attention," "Sensation and Perception," "Memory," and "Thinking and Imagination," which are traditional topics in general psychology. These chapters are appropriately connected to teaching and incorporate social psychology content such as social perception and impression. The book emphasizes two key topics of educational psychology: "The Acquisition of Knowledge and Skills and Teaching" and "The Cultivation of Learning Strategies and Creativity," which include issues like learning to learn, self-regulated learning strategies, metacognition, and learning fatigue.
Part IV "Emotion, Will, and Socialized Learning" first introduces "Attitudes and Emotion" and "Will," which are closely related to social cognition. It then discusses "The Formation of Morality" and "Group Psychology in Schools." In addition to introducing concepts like stress, anxiety, and emotional intelligence, it systematically presents domestic and international research and theories on morality, highlighting the content of educational social psychology.
Part V "Individual Differences in Psychology" explores "Psychological Individual Differences" and "Adolescent Psychology and Education" from the perspectives of personality differences and age differences. It includes methods for assessing personality and ability, Sternberg's triarchic theory of intelligence, and content related to psychological diagnosis, such as the development of self-monitoring skills.
This format represents an innovative attempt to partially integrate the systems and content of several branches of psychology. Whether this approach can stand the test of time remains to be seen through practical application and further discussion.
