Author Bio: Ma Shu graduated from the University of Oregon in the United States and obtained a Ph.D. in British Literature. He currently teaches at the English Department of Peking University. His main works include: a monograph on the Renaissance in English, Philip Massinger's Tragedies—A Self-Decentered World (Peking University Press, 1998); Chinese-to-English translation of Chinese classical and modern literature: Amazing Tales: Second Series (Er Ke Pa An Jing, Chinese Literature Press, 1998). Old Si'an: Evening Glow of an Imperial City (Lao Xi'an: Fei Du Xie Yang, Foreign Languages Press, 2001).
