How to relieve varicocele

Patient's question:

Can varicocele be cured? Can varicocele be cured? How is varicocele treated? Can varicocele be cured?

Doctor's answer:

Hello, varicocele refers to the abnormal dilatation and tortuosity of veins in the spermatic cord due to impaired venous. It is a common disease among young and middle-aged adults, characterized by the expansion, tortuosity, and elongation of the pampiniform plexus (vein vascular) caused by venous stasis in the spermatic cord. The incidence is higher in males, and it is also a major cause of infertility. Mild varicocele without symptoms does not require treatment. For moderate varicocele or those accompanied by neurasthenia, measures such as reporting scrotal symptoms and applying cold compresses may be recommended. For severe varicocele, a history of sperm count below 20 million for three consecutive times, or testicular atrophy, or when the dilated veins disappear when lying down, the spermatic vein (high ligation of the spermatic vein) can be performed.
