How great is the harm of premature ejaculation?

Patient's question:

How great is the harm of premature ejaculation? What should be done about premature ejaculation? How to treat premature ejaculation

Doctor's answer:

Ejaculatory dysfunction refers to the inability to maintain normal sexual activity, where ejaculation occurs shortly during masturbation (approximately 3-5 minutes might be considered normal) without the ability to sustain intercourse. Most people with chronic prostatitis also experience sexual dysfunction, so it is generally not advisable to treat premature ejaculation and infertility in isolation. The prepuce can also lead to premature ejaculation because prolonged covering of the glans by the foreskin makes it highly sensitive. Premature ejaculation can vary in severity: in some cases, ejaculation occurs even before the penis touches the female partner; in others, it happens upon initial contact with the external genitalia or vaginal opening; and in some, it occurs shortly after the penis enters the vagina. Excessive masturbation can easily lead to chronic congestion of the prostate, seminal vesicles, and other glands.
