Years later, Xia Yuhuo passes away. Zixi, accompanied by her maid Jin Luo, travels from Jinan all the way to Beijing, carrying a token left by the emperor, to reunite with her long-lost father. Upon arriving in the capital, the master-servant pair finds it impossible to enter the palace to meet the emperor. In their desperation, they encounter a female thief named Xiao Yanzi and become close friends. Xiao Yanzi is warm-hearted and willing to help Zixi. After enduring various hardships and setbacks, with the steadfast support of their friends, they finally meet the emperor.
