Publish Date: 2006-08-01
Features: This book is primarily based on the experience of rural Zhejiang and employs political sociology methods to study the game theory issues in rural governance. It analyzes the dynamics of conflicts and coordination during the operation of rural governance, as well as their social foundations and political social consequences, thereby grasping the correlation between various games and rural governance. It also provides public policy suggestions to improve rural governance and promote the harmonious development of rural society. The book is divided into two parts: The first part, "Theoretical Research," focuses on theoretical analysis of class games, factional competition, rural interactions, and the game dynamics between the village Party branch and the village committee using normative research methods. The second part, "Case Studies," employs empirical research methods to conduct case studies and analyses of typical game dynamics in rural governance. Here, it needs to be specially noted that all the authors of this book come from Zhejiang, they live in Zhejiang, work in Zhejiang, and the survey samples are also from Zhejiang. The analysis and conclusions of this book, to some extent, can be described as a description, analysis, summary, and refinement of the "Zhejiang Experience." Therefore, its research findings are inevitably influenced by the "Zhejiang Experience." On one hand, it presents the "local knowledge" and regional characteristics of Zhejiang; on the other hand, it also reveals the limitations brought by regional experience.
