Features: Qi Xinmin, pen names Xinmin and Biaoxiang, was born in Linzi, Shandong in 1935. He graduated from Shandong Art College in 1963 and currently resides in Beijing. He is a member of the China Artists Association, Honorary President of the Zibo Art Institute, and Honorary Chairman of the Zibo Artists Association. He is a National First-Class Artist. His works frequently participate in major domestic and international exhibitions and have won awards, with collections held by institutions such as the National Art Museum of China and the Tianjin Art Museum. His artistic achievements have been compiled in various publications including The Complete Collection of Modern Chinese Art, The Complete Collection of Contemporary Chinese Art, The World Directory of Chinese Artists, Seal Impressions of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers and Painters, Contemporary Chinese Flower and Bird Painting, The Series of Contemporary Chinese Artists CD-ROM, Portraits, and The Spectrum of Painting. He has been featured in numerous newspapers, magazines, and television media such as Hong Kong's Wen Wei Po, Chinese Painting Research, Chinese Painters, Art Observation, Eastern Art, and Chinese Art. In 1993, his work Morning Glow won the highest award at the first national flower and bird painting exhibition. His works have been selected for the first national Chinese painting exhibition, the second national flower and bird painting exhibition, and the "Top 300 Chinese Painters" exhibition, among others. He has been invited as a judge in various exhibition events such as the exhibition of famous contemporary Chinese flower and bird painters, the contemporary Chinese ink essence exhibition, and the 12th flower and bird painting invitation exhibition. His works have been invited to participate in the second to the 12th invitation exhibitions of contemporary Chinese flower and bird painting and have been compiled into exhibition catalogs. In autumn 2002, he held a contemporary freehand flower and bird painting exhibition in Chengdu with 12 other painters including Cui Zifan, Zhao Meisheng, Jia Pingxi, Jiang Wenhan, and Chen Yongqing. In 2003, he was selected along with 10 other painters for the Flower and Bird Painting Masterpieces Series published by Henan Fine Arts Press. In 2004, he participated in the Exploration and Exchange Exhibition of Nine Flower and Bird Painters organized by the China Academy of Painting and Zhou Shaohua Art Studio, alongside Zhao Meisheng, Lu Muxun, Zhou Shaohua, Feng Jinong, Jia Pingxi, Liu Yinxiang, Zhao Guide, and Zhang Guiming at the China Academy of Painting. This exhibition later became a New Freehand Flower and Bird Painting touring exhibition held in cities such as Shantou, Xiamen, and Shenzhen. His individual collections include The Art of Painting Sparrows in Freehand Style, How to Paint Morning Glories and Trumpets, The Art of Painting Domestic Cats, Qi Xinmin's Flower and Bird Painter's Sketches, The Artistic Modeling of Freehand Bird Painting, and the Nomination Book of Contemporary Chinese Painting Masters — Qi Xinmin Research and Qi Xinmin Paintings Collection.
