Patient's question:
During our unit's health check-up, when the results came out, I was stunned to see it mentioned something about prostate calcification. It advised paying attention to aspects such as lifestyle and diet, and asked how it should be treated?Doctor's answer:
Prostate cysts often recur in adults, with diabetic patients being more prone to recurrence. Sometimes, purulent secretions may drip from the urethra, and a digital rectal examination may reveal a vibrating sensation in the prostate, although this often only appears in later stages. Occasionally, abscesses may rupture into the urethra, rectum, perineum, or periurethral space, leading to connective tissue inflammation. However, some patients may not experience fever, primarily showing symptoms of lower urinary tract obstruction, and many patients also have epididymitis and orchitis. Surgical treatment for cysts mainly involves drainage, such as perineal incision drainage or transurethral resection of the prostate.
