How is prostatitis treated?

Patient's question:

There was a period when, during sexual activity, there was a faint red semen. The first time, I didn't pay much attention, but the second time, after about a month, it happened again with the same faint red color. Feeling something was wrong, I went to the hospital for a thorough check-up. The hospital said I had prostatitis. What should I do? I spend about 4 to 5 hours every day sitting in front of the computer. How should I treat it?

Doctor's answer:

Prostatitis refers to inflammation that recurs in the prostate tissue, which can cause systemic or local symptoms. It is usually caused by bacterial infections from other parts of the body invading the prostate. Symptoms of acute prostatitis include pain between the scrotum and rectum, fever, frequent urination with a burning sensation, and blood or pus in the urine. Symptoms of chronic prostatitis are primarily frequent urination and a burning sensation. The more severe the prostatitis, the more difficult it becomes to urinate. Prostatitis can be stabilized, but the treatment period is generally long, and it is prone to recurrence after treatment. Avoid sitting or riding for long periods.
