Yang Luoshu's Biography
Yang Luoshu, born in 1927, a rabbit in the Chinese zodiac. From Yangjiabu, Weixian, Shandong Province. The 19th-generation inheritor of the "Tong Shun De" print shop. At the age of 7, he began to handle the knife. At 14, he learned to print woodblock prints from his father, Yang Shengde. At 17, he formally entered the workshop as an apprentice and carved for 60 years. He has carved thousands of woodblocks, becoming the most renowned woodblock carver in China. Known as the "King of Chinese Woodblock Prints." In March 2002, he was awarded the title of "Master of Folk Art and Craft" by UNESCO.
