As a collection of papers from the symposium, Essays on Eastern Culture IV, edited by Professor Wang Xiwen, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages and Cultures at Dalian University of Technology and Standing Council Member of the China Association for Japanese Language Teaching, is about to be published. As translation holds significant importance in cross-cultural communication, the exploration of its theory is crucial. Only with correct theory can practice be effectively guided. The papers included in this collection delve deeply into translation theory while also offering insightful discussions on translation practice, full of creativity and inspiring new thoughts and revelations.
