Features: This book is based on the "Basic Requirements for Engineering Drawing Curriculum in Ordinary Higher Education Institutions" reviewed and approved by the Teaching Guidance Committee of Engineering Drawing in the May 2004 Hangzhou Work Conference of the Ministry of Education. It was compiled on the basis of summarizing our many years of teaching experience and drawing on the reform achievements of other institutions. The guiding principle for compiling this book is: to take application as the purpose, with basic concepts, basic skills, and basic analytical methods as the focus, to use the representation of parts and assemblies as the starting point, to improve students' drawing and reading ability and enhance their engineering awareness, and to reorganize teaching content. The main features of this book are: 1. It takes geometric elements in three-dimensional space as the starting point to explain the projection problems of points, lines, and planes in descriptive geometry, transforming abstract concepts into intuitive ones, making them easier to understand and master. 2. It fully reflects the idea of integrating theory with practice. While introducing the basic concepts of various drawing methods and expression methods, it also includes a certain number of detailed application examples to help learners understand and master the concepts and drawing methods. In the chapter on composite bodies, the section on shape design introduces the basic methods of shape formation, which is helpful for cultivating students' spatial imagination and innovative design abilities. 3. The content of the chapter on part drawings is reorganized based on the expression needs of four typical types of parts. It introduces relevant content according to the functional requirements, manufacturing processes, expression methods, and dimensioning characteristics of each typical part, making the teaching content system more organized and ensuring the integration of theory with practice. 4. It highlights the content of part and assembly drawing measurement, providing detailed explanations of the handling of views, dimensions, and technical requirements during the measurement process, thereby strengthening the cultivation of practical abilities. 5. For computer drawing content, it adopts a method that focuses on application and learning commands. Through graphical (drawing) examples, it explains the usage methods and skills of various commands. It also compares and explains AutoCAD and CAXA software, enabling students to master the universal AutoCAD while quickly grasping the more practical CAXA software, thereby improving their computer application skills. 6. This book adopts the new national standards.
