How to treat testicular injury needs to be known urgently?

Patient's question:

What is, testicular torsion, testicular injury

Doctor's answer:

Testicular torsion can be divided into two types: intrascrotal and extrascrotal. The intrascrotal type is more common and tends to occur during puberty, although it can also be seen in young adults. The extrascrotal type is rare, mostly affecting newborns or infants under one year old, with the cause still unconfirmed. The possible causes of the intrascrotal type may include: ① The processus vaginalis terminates at a higher point on the tunica vaginalis; ② A long mesorchium increases the mobility of the testis; ③ A normal testis is surrounded by the tunica vaginalis, which is mostly connected to the epididymis. The posterior side of the epididymis has no direct adhesion to the scrotal wall. If the testis or epididymis is completely free within the tunica vaginalis, forming a pendulous deformity with high mobility, it is prone to recurrent testicular torsion.
