Features: The CCTV "Hope Star" English Talent Competition is a large-scale television English competition organized by the Social Education Program Center of CCTV. Adhering to the principle of "cultivating interest, boosting confidence, and setting role models," the competition provides a stage for English enthusiasts to improve themselves, showcase their talents, and seize opportunities, gaining widespread popularity among the audience. Since its inception in 2000, the competition has been held annually for five years. Participants come from various industries, primarily students, representing all administrative regions in mainland China. It has influenced over 30 million people. The competition process consists of two stages: the National Selection Competition and the National Final. The National Selection Competition is conducted by establishing sub-regional competitions in each administrative region, with three rounds of selection: preliminary, semi-final, and final. Participants register according to their regions and compete in the corresponding sub-regional competitions. Those who do not have sub-regional competitions in their regions are selected by the competition organizing committee.
