Features: A hundred years after the legal reforms in the late Qing Dynasty, the Forum on International and Comparative Law was born in Harbin, the "Little Paris of the East," a northern city of ice and snow. This was a choice of history and reality, a result of economic globalization and the legalization of the world. The tide of the market economy has integrated once isolated and scattered racial, national, and cultural forms. Various races, nations, and cultures collide, harmonize, and evolve, unfolding a magnificent historical scroll. Amidst this, the transformation of legal rules, the convergence and fusion of legal cultures, and the nirvana of the legal spirit resonate like harmonious sounds and shadows. The arrival of economic globalization and the information society further accelerates this historical process. The significance of international and comparative law to human society becomes increasingly important, and academia responds swiftly, making international and comparative law a prominent field of study. The history of Chinese culture is one of continuously absorbing and learning from the outstanding achievements of various races, nations, and cultures. Chinese culture has always faced the world with an open attitude, and this cultural character has remained unbroken to this day. Since the late Qing Dynasty, the traditional Chinese legal system has faced the historical fate of collapse, and Chinese legal scholars have always strived to find legal forms suitable for the local context, with their efforts never straying from international and comparative law. After China became a member of the WTO and integrated into the new international economic order, the all-around and profound influence of international and comparative law on domestic political, economic, social, and cultural aspects has become prominent. Research on international and comparative law in domestic academia has flourished, with diverse schools of thought emerging.
