How to Confirm ADHD in Early Stages

Patient's question:

The child is now 11 years and 4 months old, in the sixth grade, and has always had difficulty concentrating in class, resulting in poor listening comprehension. At home, the child lacks initiative in doing homework alone, tends to fidget,s, and has poor academic performance. What are the early symptoms of ADHD?

Doctor's answer:

ADHD is a common symptom in school-aged children. It violates classroom discipline. It is difficult to sit still and requires diagnosis and treatment by a doctor. Take good care of the child regularly. Always engage in small games with the child, such as: reading together, practicing writing, drawing, singing, listening to music, dancing, kicking, playing, and making airplane models; ask the teacher to raise appropriate questions in class; do not engage in personal or language practice with the child; usually watch less TV, especially martial arts, and play fewer games.
