Features: The structure of this book consists of three parts: theory, practice, and appendices. The entire book provides a scientific summary and beneficial bold exploration of the emergence, development, and practice of community theory. Drawing on successful international community development experiences, it analyzes the overall situation of community construction in China from the perspective of scientific development. Keeping pace with the times, it explores and summarizes 20 years of practical experience and development ideas in eight aspects: community Party construction, community safety, community culture, community environment, community health, community security, community services, and community self-governance. It advocates the development of intermediary organizations and social charity, reducing administrative costs while increasing community investment, gradually transitioning from the current "two-tier government, three-tier management, four-tier implementation" to "one-tier government, two-tier management, community implementation," promoting the urbanization of communities and the community-oriented development of cities. It explicitly proposes the theoretical framework for community construction under socialism with Chinese characteristics: a "core" centered on people, rooted in the community, and oriented towards society, supported by "three major support systems."
