How to effectively relieve symptoms of balanitis?

Patient's question:

A while ago, I had a thorough check-up and found mold and trichomoniasis of the glans. I haven't had sex since then. There were some small red spots, but applying yellow skin cream didn't help. So I switched to erythromycin ointment and then to levofloxacin. I also used Jieryin to wash. After a week, externally it didn't show much, but the urethra still felt a bit red, without pain, itching, or abnormal discharge. After stopping the medication for 5 days, the small red spots reappeared. Is there any good solution?

Doctor's answer:

Phimosis is considered a possible cause of balanitis and eczema, along with factors such as infrequent cleaning, tight underwear causing friction, bacterial infections, and others. It is recommended to rest more, avoid overworking, wear loose and breathable cotton underwear and pants, drink plenty of water, clean frequently, take oral anti-inflammatory medication (e.g., Levofloxacin capsules), and apply Mometasone Furoate cream locally. Avoid spicy and irritating foods. Balanitis can be stabilized, but the treatment period is usually long, and the condition is prone to recurrence after treatment. Therefore, medication should be used symptomatically during treatment. Additionally, patients should avoid prolonged sitting or riding and pay close attention to personal hygiene.
