Patient's question:
Do I need surgery for varicocele? I want to know what to do about varicocele. What causes it? Why does this condition occur? What causes it? Does it interfere with fertility? I found it during a check-up a few days ago and haven't told my wife yet. What should I do? Do I need surgery?Doctor's answer:
Asymptomatic mild varicocele does not require treatment.Non-surgical treatment: For mild varicocele or those accompanied by neurasthenia, report scrotum, cold compress, etc.
Surgical treatment: For severe varicocele, sperm count continuously below 20 million for three times or testicular atrophy; when the varicose veins disappear when lying flat, the inguinal internal vein ligation can be performed.
Varicocele is prone to cause infertility.
