Features: What is a "lecture"? It is when scholars speak from the stage and students listen from their seats. Some have jokingly said: "You can skip classes at Peking University, but you must never miss a lecture." Today, in our campus, bulletin boards are filled with various lecture announcements. Before the lectures, classrooms are packed with students, desks covered with items used for claiming seats. During the lectures, there is an enlightening awakening, and afterward, there are questions, debates, and deep reflections. All of this has become a distinctive feature of Peking University's campus. Through this scene, you can see the "residents" traditionally considered to be within the ivory tower, who have shed their arrogance and begin to reflect on themselves within the campus; you can also see the outside world, with envious, curious, and inquiring gazes, watching the hurried scholars within the tower, even pausing to linger on campus. Lectures not only enrich the spiritual significance of this sacred land at Peking University but also make this ancient campus more vibrant and youthful, becoming a valuable spiritual treasure for Peking University students.
