What are the situations that cause varicocele?

Patient's question:

What causes varicocele? I want to know what the reasons are for varicocele, how did it happen like this? What should I do? Can it be cured? My husband discovered it through tests, but he doesn't feel any discomfort. What should I do? Can it be cured? What do I need to do? Should I have surgery?

Doctor's answer:

The main cause of varicocele is the congestion of blood in the spermatic veins. Due to the inverted posture of the human body, it interferes with the flow of spermatic veins; the weakness of the venous wall and surrounding connective tissue, or incomplete development of the cremaster muscle; and the scarring or incompetence of venous valves, making it easier for varicocele to recur.
1. Blood retention in the dilated veins leads to an increase in local temperature of the testes, disrupting spermatogenesis.
2. Blood retention interferes with the blood circulation of the testes, depriving them of necessary nutrients and oxygen, thereby disrupting spermatogenesis.
