Will varicocele on the left side improve?

Patient's question:

Will varicocele on the left side be cured? I want to know that my husband said his testicles have been uncomfortable recently, so we did a thorough examination to see what's going on. But the doctor said it's varicocele, which will interfere with pregnancy. What should we do? What is the cause? Can it be left untreated? Will it be cured? Will it affect pregnancy? What should we do?

Doctor's answer:

Varicocele is classified into three degrees. In mild cases, the dilated veins are not palpable locally, and only discomfort is felt. In moderate cases, the dilated veins can be palpated when standing, but they are not visible externally. In severe cases, dilated veins in the scrotum appear like worms or clusters.
The treatment for varicocele, in mild cases, can be managed conservatively, which involves rest, wearing tight-fitting underwear, increasing intense exercise, and appropriately using blood-activating medications. However, moderate to severe cases, or those accompanied by infertility or abnormal semen, require surgical intervention. Varicocele can be relieved.
