How to deal with itchy prostate?

Patient's question:

Previously, there had been pearl-like small bumps around the glans. Over the past two days, I suddenly felt a slight itch around the glans and have been scratching it many times. I thought it wasn't clean enough and used the showerhead to wash the area around the glans. However, today I suddenly noticed that red spots had reappeared on the surface of the glans, and it seemed that the bumps could be faintly seen. Now, touching it causes mild pain. After persisting for a night, the prostate appeared slightly swollen. When I pulled back the foreskin, I noticed a small amount of bleeding and redness on the inner layer of the foreskin. (My foreskin is a bit long, covering the glans when not erect, and it slides back to reveal the entire glans with a gentle pull when erect.) How do I deal with the itching of the prostate?

Doctor's answer:

The small granules that reappear at the edge of the glans are a condition known as pearly penile papules. These papules are normal tissues, but they can lead to balanoposthitis if the prepuce is too long and hygiene is not maintained. Prompt anti-inflammatory treatment can stabilize the prostate, but the treatment period is generally long, and recurrence is common after treatment. Therefore, during treatment, medications should be used according to the symptoms. Additionally, patients should maintain a light diet, avoid foods, and not smoke or drink beer.
