When using this guidebook, it is necessary to adopt the aforementioned "Advanced Mathematics Lecture Notes" as the textbook for coordination. This book can serve as a teaching material for correspondence students of higher industrial schools studying advanced mathematics, or as a self-study guide for readers who have completed high school mathematics courses. The book is divided into two volumes. The first volume includes general study method guidance, chapter-specific study method guidance, exercises, answers to exercises, and test assignments. The second volume is compiled based on the questions raised by correspondence students of Tongji University while studying advanced mathematics, which can address certain learning difficulties and also serve as reference materials for understanding the textbook. This edition is a revised version, revised by Wang Fuying of Tongji University. During the revision, considering the needs of many correspondence students and part-time self-learners of higher industrial schools studying Fan Yingchuan et al.'s "Advanced Mathematics Lecture Notes" (second edition, i.e., the 1964 edition), the editorial department of our press has specially added two comparison tables (Comparison Table of Contents between Fan Yingchuan et al.'s "Advanced Mathematics Lecture Notes" 1958 and 1964 editions and Comparison Table I) at the end of the book for reference by readers studying the second edition.
