Publish Date: 2003-05-06
Features: This book is revised and written based on the teaching materials used in the school for many years, in accordance with the "Basic Requirements for Engineering Materials and Mechanical Manufacturing Teaching" approved and issued by the State Education Commission. This book is a part of the course on "Engineering Materials and Mechanical Manufacturing Basics." The second part is "Fundamentals of Thermal Processing Technology" (edited by Zhang Wanchang of Tsinghua University), and the third part is "Fundamentals of Mechanical Processing Technology" (edited by Wu Huawen of Chongqing University), both published by Higher Education Press. These three parts of the book can be used independently or in combination. There have been significant updates in the system and content of this book, and it is arranged to be taught before "Fundamentals of Thermal and Cold Processing Technology." This not only saves teaching time and reduces repetition but also deepens the reform of teaching and teaching materials. The content includes: mechanical properties of metallic materials, crystal structure and crystallization, plastic deformation and recrystallization of metals, binary alloys, iron-carbon alloys, heat treatment of steel, alloy steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals and alloys, non-metallic materials, and material selection (Chapter 11). This book has been reviewed and approved by the teaching guidance group for the course on "Engineering Materials and Mechanical Manufacturing Basics" and is recommended for publication. It can be used as a general textbook for mechanical engineering majors in higher vocational colleges and is also available for reference and use by relevant workers' universities and engineering technicians.
