Publish Date: 2003-05-06
Features: This book is revised based on the third edition of 1988, following the suggestions of the "Basic Requirements for Teaching of Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Drawing in Engineering Undergraduate Programs of Higher Education" issued by the State Education Commission in 1995. In addition to retaining the characteristics of the third edition, this book has restored colored illustrations for the benefit of teaching, maintained the original depth and breadth, and added some examples. The complexity of mechanical drawing sections has been reduced, and basic content of computer-aided drawing has been included. The book consists of thirteen chapters: Basic Knowledge and Skills of Drafting, Projection of Points, Lines, and Planes, Projection of Solids, Views and Dimensioning of Composite Bodies, Isometric Drawings, Common Expression Methods for Machine Parts, Standard Parts and Common Components, Part Drawings, Assembly Drawings, Basic Computer-Aided Drawing, Development of Solid Surfaces, Welding Drawings, and Architectural Drawings. Review and Reflection Questions are provided at the end of each chapter. This book has been reviewed and approved by the Teaching Guidance Committee for Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Drawing in Engineering Programs of the State Education Commission and can be used as a teaching material for descriptive geometry and engineering drawing courses in non-mechanical majors of higher engineering colleges. It is also suitable for reference by teachers and students of relevant majors in vocational universities, correspondence universities, television universities, and other institutions.
