Features: This book was revised based on the requirements of the "Teaching Syllabus for Chemical Technology" (1989 April promulgation) formulated by the Teacher Education Department of the Ministry of Education (formerly the State Education Commission) in 1988, on the basis of the "Chemical Technology" ( edition) published in 1985. The book consists of twelve chapters, divided into two parts. The first part covers basic principles of chemical engineering, including fluid flow and transport, heat transfer processes, absorption, distillation, and chemical reactors. The second part covers chemical technology, including the sulfuric acid industry, ammonia synthesis industry, caustic soda industry, petrochemical industry, soda ash industry, polymer chemistry industry, and pesticide industry, as well as relevant review questions and exercises. The last three chapters (marked with "") are not included within the syllabus and are provided for reference when selected by schools for teaching. In addition to serving as a textbook for chemistry departments in higher normal colleges and vocational colleges, this book can also be used as a reference for other chemical and chemical engineering technicians.
