Features: The National Adult Higher Education English Series Textbooks are planned and recommended by the Ministry of Education for use in non-English major associate degree programs at various adult higher education institutions. Based on the "Basic Requirements for National Adult Higher Education English Curriculum (Non-English Major Associate Degree Programs)" issued by the former State Education Commission in 1997, this series includes the main textbook "English" and the synchronized self-study textbook "English Learning Guide," each with 4 volumes. The series combines language proficiency training with practical foreign-related activities, enabling adult English learners to integrate learning with application from the outset—learning a little, using a little, and mastering a little. This book is a supplementary guide for the main textbook "English 1" and consists of three parts: key points of learning for "English 1," synchronized self-study exercises, and reference answers for the exercises in "English 1." The synchronized self-study exercises provide a variety of practice formats to focus on vocabulary and structures from the main textbook, thereby improving listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation skills. To assist students in self-study, starting from the fifth printing, reference translations of all texts in the main textbook and the synchronized self-study exercises have been added at the back of the book. This book is accompanied by an audio cassette.
