Features: In the field of health, sanitation, and science, the dedication, loyalty, and relentless efforts of professionals to keep pace with the times have enabled us to continuously and promptly acquire more knowledge. The development of new equipment and modern tools has made it possible to advance disease diagnosis and implement sophisticated surgical techniques, thereby making a deeper understanding of basic biology and anatomy essential for surgeons. Since ancient times, a thorough understanding of anatomy has been a fundamental requirement for surgical practice. Today, many of the anatomy textbooks and atlases used by medical students and physicians date back to the last century and have rarely been updated. They often lack descriptions of individual anatomical variations, especially in the deep craniofacial regions. Additionally, specimens processed under surgical microscopy, which are highly useful in various medical fields for microsurgery and endoscopic surgery, are rarely mentioned in professional publications. To address this deficiency, this book draws on content from current literature and our own experience in anatomy over the years. The study of the nose and paranasal sinuses focuses on their osteology, anatomical relationships, and surgical approaches to the sinuses. By comparing cadaveric cranial dissections with living sectional images, we emphasize the areas prone to surgical risks. Annotations related to surgery are comprehensively annotated at the end, providing an overview of important anatomical relationships and serving as a practical guide for microsurgery and endoscopic sinus surgery. [Preface] Preface Due to the continuous efforts of anatomists and surgeons in macroscopic and microscopic anatomy, nasal microscopy and endoscopic surgery have made remarkable progress. Unveiling the complex anatomical structures of the deep facial region has been a challenge for Professor Navarro. His research has made immeasurable contributions to many fields. This book primarily introduces the anatomy of the nose, paranasal sinuses, and related structures. This content is essential for anyone engaged in microscopic endoscopic sinus surgery. I would like to express my gratitude once again to Professor Navarro and his teachings, as they have provided tremendous help in my professional development. I also extend my thanks to colleagues worldwide.
