Features: To regulate the work of applying for master's degrees based on equivalent academic standing and ensure the quality of degree conferment, the 16th meeting of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee decided to introduce a national unified examination on comprehensive academic level for applicants with equivalent academic standing. Starting from September 1, 1999, individuals applying for master's degrees with equivalent academic standing must obtain the "Certificate of Qualification for the National Unified Examination on Comprehensive Academic Level in Relevant Disciplines" as a prerequisite for degree conferment. The purpose of the comprehensive academic level examination is to strengthen the macro-control and standardized management of granting master's degrees to individuals with equivalent academic standing, and it serves as a crucial step organized by the state to assess the knowledge structure and level of applicants with equivalent academic standing seeking master's degrees. In 1998, experts were organized to compile and publish the "Outline and Guide for the National Unified Examination on Comprehensive Academic Level in Electronic Science and Technology for Applicants with Equivalent Academic Standing." Over the past five years, based on suggestions from a large number of examinees and relevant experts, we have revised this book thoroughly on the basis of summarizing the experience of recent years' unified examinations. The revised outline (Second Edition) will serve as the basis for setting questions for the national unified examination on comprehensive academic level in electronic science and technology for applicants with equivalent academic standing in the coming years. It is also provided for reference by universities and colleges in teaching and tutoring related subjects, as well as for examinees to use as study and preparation materials.
