Features: This book is written to implement the "21st Century Education Revitalization Plan," the "Cross-Century Teacher Project," and to ensure the quality of college-level training for secondary school teachers. The selection of materials follows the differential equations section of the "Teaching Plan for Advanced Normal Studies (Undergraduate Starting from Junior College Level)" organized by the Department of Normal Education of the Ministry of Education in 1999. During the writing process, we drew on the practices from recent years in full-time and correspondence undergraduate teaching, and also referred to the content and writing style of popular differential equations textbooks in China. We aimed to introduce both the classic fundamental content of ordinary differential equations and some of their applications and modern theories, enabling learners to grasp the basic outline of this ancient yet highly vibrant field through the course. This will help improve their mathematical literacy and deepen their understanding of secondary school mathematics. Considering that the target readers are primarily non-traditional students, we strive for clarity and ease of self-study. Content marked with an asterisk can be understood at a general level.
