True law is the correct rule, which aligns with nature, suits all people, is stable and permanent, calling for the fulfillment of duty through command and preventing crime through prohibition. He who does not obey it is self-avoidance, contempt for human nature, and thus shall receive severe punishment, although he may escape other punishments considered as punishment itself.
