Features: The research on the education standards and training programs for higher vocational education in construction cost estimation includes three components:
The first component is professional development, which consists of two main parts:
One is the construction of a new curriculum system. In building the new curriculum system, it considers two levels: basic objectives and development objectives. The basic objective is primarily to train students to complete all tasks of a cost estimator upon graduation. The development objective is to cultivate applied talents who meet the requirements for cost engineer professionals. The other part is the construction of a new practical training system. The practical training system also follows the framework of basic and development objectives.
The second component is curriculum development, which includes three aspects:
1. New course development, mainly including courses such as Principles and Practices of Construction Engineering Quotas, Bill of Quantities Pricing, and Construction Cost Control.
2. Integration of relevant courses, mainly including courses such as Building Construction and Drawing Recognition, Fundamentals of Building Structures and Drawing Recognition, Building Equipment Installation Drawing Recognition and Construction Technology, and Budgeting for Building Equipment Installation Engineering.
3. Course content updates, mainly including courses such as Fundamentals of Finance and Accounting and Building and Decorative Materials.
The third component is the development of teaching support infrastructure, including the construction of question banks, exercise banks, and practical training material libraries.
