Features: The research on the educational program standards for higher vocational education in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) engineering technology includes three components.
The first component is professional construction, which mainly consists of two parts. The first part is to build a new curriculum system. In constructing the new curriculum system, it considers two levels: basic objectives and developmental objectives. The basic objective is mainly to cultivate students who can complete the work of professional positions in the HVAC engineering technology field immediately after graduation. The developmental objective is to cultivate applied talents with the specifications of equipment engineers and supervisory engineers. The second part is to build a new practical training system, which also follows the basic and developmental objectives approach.
The second component is curriculum construction, which includes three aspects. The first part is the development of new courses, mainly including courses such as "Heating System Commissioning and Operation," "Air Conditioning System Commissioning and Operation," and "Introduction to Engineering Supervision." The second part is the integration of relevant courses, mainly including courses such as "Fundamentals of Thermodynamics," "Ventilation and Air Conditioning Engineering," and "Installation Engineering Budgeting and Construction Organization Management." The third part is the updating of course content, mainly including courses such as "Building Electrical Engineering."
The third component is the construction of teaching foundation work, including the development of question banks, exercise banks, and practical training material banks.
