Features: "Tourism Economics" is a discipline that studies the economic phenomena, economic relationships, and development patterns of tourism. Since 1986, China's tourism industry was officially incorporated into the national economic plan, and over a decade has passed. China's tourism economy has experienced rapid growth, and the tourism industry has reached considerable scale. In light of the development of China's tourism economy, the research on tourism economics theory needs to not only elaborate on the basic principles of tourism economics but also continuously track and summarize the operation and development of China's tourism economy, reflecting these insights in the discipline's construction. This is the purpose of our revision of "Tourism Economics." While retaining and inheriting the system, structure, and some content that has been well-received by readers in the original edition, we have made necessary additions and deletions, adjusted chapters, and strengthened the analysis of macro and meso tourism economics. We have summarized new experiences in the development of China's tourism economy, removed repetitive content with other related disciplines, and highlighted the essence of tourism economic activities. At the same time, the book has collected and supplemented a large amount of new data.
