How to treat premature ejaculation to get better?

Patient's question:

I have been feeling weak and unable to perform during sexual activity recently. I lose my erection as soon as I start and don't feel any pleasure. I went to the hospital for a thorough check-up, and the doctor said it was premature ejaculation. After hearing this, I became very worried. How can premature ejaculation be treated to be cured? I really don't understand it. Who can tell me how to treat premature ejaculation to make it better?

Doctor's answer:

In clinical diagnosis, sexual activity lasting between five minutes and about half an hour is considered normal, while duration below five minutes is termed premature ejaculation. Premature ejaculation is a sexual dysfunction, and the causes of sexual dysfunction are numerous, such as neurovascular factors, endocrine factors, and also organic factors: primarily due to chronic inflammatory diseases like prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, posterior urethritis, and bulbourethral glanditis, or long-term sexual intercourse, or changes in neuropathology, or other genital inflammation such as a short frenulum, which can cause pain during penile erection and lead to sexual dysfunction.
