Features: From the perspective of economic development history, economic forms can be categorized based on industrial structure into agricultural economy, industrial economy, and high-tech economy. From the perspective of contemporary economics, economic forms can be divided based on the core force of resource allocation into labor economy, (natural) resource economy, and knowledge economy. Whether from the perspective of economic history or economics, what is referred to as the knowledge economy is essentially the same as high-tech economy, high-culture economy, and high-knowledge economy. It refers to a new type of economy that differs from the previous industrial structure based on traditional industries and relies primarily on scarce natural resources. It takes high-tech industries as the industrial pillar and intellectual resources as the primary support, making it a sustainable economy. Compared to previous economic forms, the greatest difference of the knowledge economy lies in the fact that its prosperity is not directly determined by the quantity, scale, and increment of resources, capital, hardware technology, but rather directly relies on the accumulation and utilization of knowledge or effective information. Once knowledge becomes the primary economic factor, the mode of economic growth will undergo fundamental changes, making long-term high-speed growth possible.
