How is neonatal pneumonia treated?

Patient's question:

Due to not being in particularly good physical condition, the child had difficulty being born. For about 10 minutes, it was monitored that the child's heart rate decreased. Then, oxygen was given to the wife, and a neonatal doctor entered the delivery room to assist with the delivery. Later, the child's heart rate returned to normal, and the doctor immediately performed warming, intubation, and sputum suction.

Doctor's answer:

Pneumonia caused by aspiration. That child is experiencing hypoxia, but since the child is young, the symptoms are not obvious and need to be older to be noticeable. Cerebral palsy usually occurs before birth or in infancy, with causes including: birth injuries, neonatal jaundice, brain hypoxia; premature birth, etc. The main symptoms are increased muscle tone, difficulty with abduction, and in severe cases, muscle rigidity, spasms, and joints maintaining a flexed position. In mild cases, fine motor skills of the hands are poor, and the heels cannot touch the ground when walking. These patients often have language development and dysarthria as well as strabismus. About 1/3 of patients have varying degrees of seizures and intellectual disabilities. Cerebral palsy can cause delayed motor development. If the child is still inactive and does not move much after 3 months of birth, and does not show crawling movements with hands and feet when prone; if the hands are still tight in a grasp after 4-6 months of birth. Clumsy gait, scissor gait, etc.
