Patient's question:
The head is obviously tilted to one side. When I pushed it with my hand, both the shoulder and the head tilted to the same side. When I touched it, I could feel a noticeably tight muscle. I was eager to find out what illness this could be.Doctor's answer:
It's hard to say, let's go to the hospital for another check-up. Early detection of plagiocephaly. Frequently observe the baby's head on both sides (left and right) and front and back. If it's less than 6 millimeters, it can be corrected by regularly changing the baby's sleeping position. If it's between 6 and 12 millimeters, it's moderate plagiocephaly, and treatment is recommended. If it exceeds 12 millimeters, immediate treatment should be sought. Generally, when we visually notice the baby's head sleeping (slanted) or sleeping (tilted), the asymmetry of the baby's plagiocephaly has already exceeded 6 millimeters, and artificial correction should be considered.
