Features: The term "engineering" in engineering economics refers to a broad concept. It not only includes civil engineering that can form physical capital but also encompasses any independently evaluable technical solutions. Therefore, it can be considered that not only should students of engineering economics and management study engineering economics, but all students who will engage in economics, management, and technology in the future should also have a certain foundation in engineering economics. The content of this book is relatively rich, and it is recommended to selectively teach it during use. Due to the limitation of class hours and the differences in students' academic backgrounds, some content can be skipped or briefly covered, serving as self-study material for students. This book is suitable as a textbook for undergraduate and graduate students in higher education institutions, as well as a reference book for cadre training or self-study of engineering economic theory and methods. To enhance the purposefulness of learning, the learning objectives for each chapter are presented at the beginning of the chapter; to improve students' understanding of the practical application of the learning content, each chapter is specifically arranged with case studies based on the chapter content (except for Chapter X); to reinforce learning effectiveness, review questions are provided at the end of each chapter. It is hoped that these measures will enhance students' interest and effectiveness in learning, as well as facilitate self-study for learners.
