Chapter 5 focuses on natural organic compounds, covering carbohydrates, amino acids, proteins, fats and waxes, steroids, alkaloids, and terpenes. The book also includes CAI courseware. Significant adjustments have been made to the textbook content, emphasizing the integration of fundamental knowledge with applications, the combination of knowledge delivery with skill training, the blend of classical fundamentals with modern techniques, and the cultivation of green chemical and environmental awareness. Repetitive content from high school has been streamlined, while new knowledge and reading materials have been added.
