Features: This revised edition is a comprehensive update based on the original version, incorporating four years of teaching reform practices. In the revision, we retained the original textbook's structure and style, organically combining calculus and linear algebra while using modern mathematical perspectives and ideas to address some problems in engineering mathematics. We broke down the boundaries between mathematical branches, holistically considering topics such as computer science, analytical geometry, linear algebra, ordinary differential equations, vector analysis, field theory, and complex functions to avoid repetition. Modern mathematical viewpoints and methods were appropriately introduced to elevate the level of mathematical knowledge and emphasize the cultivation of self-learning new concepts. The content on numerical computation and mathematical applications was enriched. To better align with university physics and other courses, Chapter 17 "Methods of Solving Ordinary Differential Equations" from the original edition's lower volume was moved to the upper volume as Chapter 5. To make the new textbook's structure more rigorous and the logic clearer, Chapters 0 "Introduction to Calculus" and 18 "Linear Programming" from the original edition were removed. The content on linear algebra was further expanded, adding basic knowledge and methods of unitary spaces, unitary transformations, and generalized inverse matrices. Errors and certain issues identified in the original edition were carefully corrected and revised.
