Features: After stepping into the 21st century, our thing is to dedicate this revised and supplemented new edition of International Law to readers, and we are deeply gratified! The past 100 years have been a century of human pursuit of peace, but also a century of heavy costs: frequent wars, relentless aggression, and no peace for the international community! In confusion, people yearn: May the 21st century enjoy just international peace and an equal legal order! Our revision of international law was carried out amidst this beautiful aspiration. Since its first publication in early 1993, this book has been printed 17 times to date, with over 100,000 copies distributed, and it has also been published in traditional Chinese in Taiwan (Zhiyi Publishing House) by invitation and has been very well-received. However, in the seven years since then, the world has undergone many changes. Therefore, to adapt to the times, the editors have: (1) Comprehensively reviewed, revised, and supplemented the entire system, content, arguments, and all materials while preserving the characteristics and strengths of the first edition; (2) Connected various international practice issues, especially in the "Basic Theories" section, proposing (or deepening) several new theoretical explanations and approaches from the perspectives of legal philosophy and legal sociology; (3) Added new chapters on "International Responsibility," "International Environment," "International Human Rights," and "Implementation Agreement on Part XI of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea," based on the realities, expanding the book from the original 14 chapters to the current 18 chapters.
